Dr. Nkosenathi Koela, is our Elder, our mentor and a Sangoma of the Xhosa people. He is also the founder of Indigenous Frequency Cast and a DAAD Artist Fellow. He heals through sound in many ways as a Producer, Sound Engineer and Instrument Builder. We have had the honor and the privilege to mentor under him in both South Africa and Baltimore. His wealth of knowledge has been a gift to our founder Evan Hall and to people of African Descent worldwide. He is a multidisciplinary musician and healer. He has guided us through ritual and ceremony and it is our pleasure to learn at his feet on his family's land and share meals with him and his family. We can never repay him. Our ancestors are pleased.
